Gujarat Education Technologies Ltd. (GET) was incorporated on 09-Mar-2021 under Section 3 of Companies Act, 2013 with the objective of creating and providing e-learning platforms and e-content and develop the framework of imparting and managing quality e-education at affordable cost by enhancing use of technology
GET shall be an autonomous company of the Government of Gujarat, under the administrative control of Secretary, Primary and Secondary Education, Government of Gujarat and establish required technology based e-learning systems and provide for quality e-content with the help, support and partnerships with the Technology and e-content providers in the industry and build a framework for online education at affordable prices.

Introduction
Learning is always a continuous process and with changing times it has been observed that the methodologies of learning and teaching have undergone drastic changes. These changes have not been easy to implement on ground because technology has been on the forefront in these implementations and teachers and students have had few inhibitions in adopting them.
With the pandemic the scope of online learning has only improved and this also got accelerated with the introduction of the new National Education Policy which was released in the first half of 2020. After more than few decades there have been some aggressive changes proposed and online learning is one of them.
Considering that the penetration of smartphones and devices for accessing content online have seen an upward trend since the last few years, that day us not far off when the country will witness students able to access quality education from the teachers of his/her choice. Teachers also get a wider canvas to explore their potential and reach out to students cutting across distances.
Objectives–
1. Act as a Nodal Agency for all e-content providing companies and ed-tech companies working or intending to work in Gujarat and to provide technology enabled education in Gujarat by ensuring high quality content at affordable rates to Private Schools and Free of Cost/Token cost for Government and Grant-in-aid Schools
2. Developing, Operating , Distributing rights to use and sub license, marketing , managing, advising on supplying e-learning platforms and e-content, conducting e-assessments and providing edge devices of all kinds for the conveyance of education and related content by means of sounds, visual images, animations and signals of all kinds.
3. Procure under license arrangement or otherwise, the required technology platforms, tools, software and systems and enable the company to be self -reliant in operations and maintenance of the systems.
4. Provide services to other government of non-government institutions in the domain of e-content development, training and measurement of the performances.
5. Setup systems for data processing, information retrieval systems, measurement of scholastic performance KPIs and data analytics for measuring the outcomes of the systems.
6. Run support centers via digital means- e.g. Voice, Chat Bots, etc. or any other technology that may be made available for users.
